Initial Consultation

It all begins with a cup of tea ...this is the free initial consultation and is where we have a chat with you to find out what you are trying to achieve and to see if we could work together. You can view our portfolio which demonstrates the different stages of the design process and shows you some of the gardens we have designed for previous clients. Importantly we also get a chance to look at your garden and to see its general layout and to assess its potential. If at this stage you like what we have shown you we can then have a more detailed discussion about your exact requirements and develop a brief of you likes and dislikes, any practical elements that should be included and your budget for the project. We have a number of prompt pictures which encourage thought and discussion but any pictures or articles you can gather together which demonstrate your dream garden would be useful at this point.

Every garden we design is unique and is a reflection of the owner’s aspirations, style and desires. The consultation process will enable you to discover and confidently decide on the design brief which will set out the key design features and elements that will be your future garden.

Should you decide to commission Flourish Garden Design a written proposal will be sent to you which sets the Client brief (what you have asked us to do). This also tells you the stages we will go through to deliver your design, how much it will cost and when we will complete each stage. Our costs for designing a garden vary depending on size and complexity but they generally range between £400 and £1200. If you want to engage us we ask you to sign an agreement and send a small deposit. We can then get going on your design.
